CMS is celebrating World Language Week by selling bracelets made in Central American countries for a good cause. 

The Pulsera Project is a nonprofit organization that educates, empowers and connects Central American artists with students in more than 4,000 U.S. schools through the sale of colorful handwoven bracelets — known as “pulseras” in Spanish.

The project aims to brighten U.S. schools with art and compelling cultural education while employing Guatemalan and Nicaraguan artisans and investing proceeds to create lasting change in their communities.

Also on Tuesday, coinciding with Mardi Gras, students celebrated French culture by making three-dimensional Eiffel Towers.

On Wednesday, they will design party hat piñatas for Spanish Day.

And on Thursday, Italian Day brings a beaded key chain project and the Italian card game Scopa.
