CMS student Demma O. spent her summer break writing and illustrating her book “Dreamer.”

Friday afternoon, she had the opportunity to share her publication with second graders in her younger brother Lucas’ library class at North Ridge.

Library Media Specialist Christine Dennis and Art Teacher Kelsey Franciosa were on hand to highlight Demma’s artwork in her book and showcase the morals of her story. 

The students will have the opportunity to create their own nonfiction “legacy” books this spring are going to do research and illustrations before their books are sent to a publishing company.  

Demma autographed her book and it will be available for students to loan beginning next week.
